You know the saying "If a tree falls in the woods but no one is around, does it make any sound?" Sometimes I feel that way about weekends and blogging... If I have no pictures to show for my awesome weekend, then did it really even happen? This was one of those weekends.
Friday night me and some of my girlfriends had a sleepover and then got up early to go to the huge monthly flea market. While we were there, helicopters started flying over and federal police agents with bullet proof vests were all over the place. They ended up raiding all of the booth selling illegal copyrighted items like pirated movies and Michael Kors purses. It was so crazy. Apparently the news said they seized over 200 million dollars worth of counterfeit items.
The rest of Saturday afternoon/night was spent over at one of Derek's co-worker's home watching football, grilling out, and just having a good time. We were hosting one of Derek's coworkers from Canada, it was pretty interesting to say the least. Is not a popular sport in Canada, so we had to spend a good amount of time explaining the rules of the game and some of the calls.
Sunday morning I got up early to do a shift at work, then did some grocery shopping. When I got home it was straight to work on my 8 page paper. Although I spent a lot of time snap chatting, tweeting, and watching The League, I still manage to get it done in about 5 hours. I'd have to say that is pretty good.
