Celebrating Christmas Eve's Eve with Ashten and Harry Potter

Hello and happy Christmas Eve's Eve! I'm working today and also feeling a little under the weather, but that doesn't stop me from celebrating. How am I celebrating, you ask? By talking about Harry Potter with Ashten, duh!

First I want to show off the new design I installed this weekend. I am so proud of it because I had to learn a few new things and I learned them all by myself! You can see more designs and read about my rates at Geez, Louise Design!

Ashten was one of the awesome ladies who helped me host an awesome Harry Potter link up a few months ago, and ever since then we've been bffs. We even blated, so you know it's real. So when Ashten decided to hang out on my sidebar for a second month, I knew more HP was in our future.

(I chime in in italics!)

1. Who is your favorite character in the book series?
I mean, I could really go with the obvious here and say Harry, Hermione or Ron. Because let's face it: they are all amazing and have the best personalities. I love them all individually and together. But, I honestly think my favorite character is Dobby. He made the second book for me, and when he died I seriously bawled like a baby. (Spoiler alert: he dies. You will cry.)

Aww I loved Dobby, and I agree the series wouldn't have been nearly as good without him. But I think my favorite character would have to be Hagrid!

2. What character do you thing was portrayed the worst in the movies?
Filch's Cat. That little bastard.

I absolutely hated Filch's cat in the books, but in the movies he wasn't nearly as evil as he should have been. Also, I think Dudley should have been fatter.

3. Favorite book and favorite quote from it.
My favorite book is "The Prisoner of Azkaban", and clearly if you don't pick "I solomly swear I'm up to no good" you might not be the HP fan you thought you were. But, my favorite Harry Potter quote of all time is "Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it."-Albus Dumbledore from "The Deathly Hallows". That sums up everything about writing that I love.

I absolutely LOVE that quote! I think my favorite is, "Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living, especially those who live without love."  --Albus Dumbledore

4. Would you change any of the story line? What parts?
Wanting to change any of the Harry Potter storyline is blasphemy!

Blasphemist here! I would totally change the fact that Sirius dies, it makes me sad every time I think about it, and how Harry again was ripped of the chance to have a family of his own.

5. What animal would you be if you were an animagus? Why?
Clearly I would be my dog, Warner. Because I'm attached to him in the most unhealthy way possible.

Hahahaha! I wouldn't hate it if you were Warner, but that totally ruins my plans of being a fox because he would probably chase me!

I love Dobby! It is so endearing how he loves Harry so much.

And I really wish Sirius hadn't died!

Something about Harry Potter makes it feel appropriate for all holidays.

Dumbledore is the MAN. So. Many. Amazing quotes!!!!!!!!! "Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it." By far my favorite. :)
