As most of you know (I think I've mentioned it twice in the last week - and I don't know how many times in the last year) I'm currently back in school after getting my LPN license in 2012. I've been in school a year and I will graduate May 7th but my last final is actually THIS THURSDAY (and I'm taking one today - wish me luck).
Ever since I went back to school (and especially this last semester) I've been short on free time. Sure, I've had a few weekends where I was able to slip away for a friend's bachelorette party or go biking with Derek or sneak away to the beach, but for the most part, it's been balls to the wall studying, precepting, going to clinicals, classwork, presentations, papers, you probably get the point. Oh, and I've also been working as a nurse the whole time too.
So while I've been in school, I kind of started a running list of all the things I want to start doing after I graduate (and before I start grad school) when "free time" will be a real thing again.
+ Take piano lessons. Yes, I know it can be hard for an adult to learn music, but it's always been something I've wanted to do, but I never got around to.
+ Try new workouts like hot yoga or a Barre class. Or even Zumba. Being that my schedule is so restricted, I am always busy during the times these classes are offered and I have to stick to solo workouts and cardio. I'm ready for a change!
+ Go on vacation. This on is actually conveniently already planned for me. Derek's mom and all of her sisters have booked a huge (11 bedroom) condo in central Florida (near Orlando) for 10 days and I couldn't be more excited. At the top of my list of things to do are (1) go to Harry Potter world - duh, and (2) drink around the world at Epcot. If you have any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them!
+ Get back into the swing of blogging. I have missed this space so much! Mainly I have missed having the time to read all of my favorite blogs and respond to all of my readers' comments. I promise I'm not ignoring you all!
