June Goals

It's been a  while since I've written a good "goals" post. (Really it's been a while since I've written a GOOD post, period). But I figured, it's the beginning of the month, why not put my goals in writing for the whole internet to see and (hopefully) help hold me accountable.

June Goals

Goal 1:
First things first, I want to come back to this blog, full force. I love this space and I have had a really hard time of getting back into the swing of things. I know it is because I haven't found the right time/space to write in my new pad. Which really shouldn't even be considered new anymore since I've been living here since March. The sad part it, I just unpacked my last box this week, after almost three months. But I'm getting off subject. Back to blogging. For serious. I am thinking of doing a "questions" post in the near future, but I am not too sure about it yet. Is that something anyone would be interested in? I have this fear that no one will ask me questions and then I will have to make them all up so I don't look like a total loser.

Goal 2:
Back to the apartment. Another goal I have is to decorate the place. Not anything major, since I don't want to do any damage to the walls or anything, but just a few things to make it feel like home. I've already started (as you may have seen on instagram) with this piece made from some old pallets we found on the side of the road.

I have plans for the remaining pallets, but I think I'll keep it as a surprise for now and just unveil the finished project. In addition, I really want to get some canvases made. I've gotten several groupons for different canvas stores and I just haven't made the time to take advantage yet.

Goal 3:
Build my savings account back up. Unfortunately, I had to dip pretty deep into my nice little nest egg, with the combination of more school, less work, more bills, and a few unexpected costs thrown in there. My savings account is a lot lower than it was at the beginning of the year. Now that I'm back working almost full time, I should be able to work on my savings in a serious way.

Goal 4:
Get a new job. Not that I don't love the one I'm working at (and not that I wouldn't consider working at the same facility with a new title) but I need to be full time, like yesterday. The thing about jobs though, is they just don't fall into your lap when you would like them to. If I've filled out one application, I've filled out a thousand. I just know that God must be planning something really special for me, to keep me waiting this long.

Goal 5:
Pass the NCLEX. Some consider it bad luck to tell when your test date is, but I say the more positive thoughts and prayers and good vibes pointed in my direction, the better. So on Thursday, if you would like to send some my way, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Goal 6:
Recap and talk about my triathlon! There are some really great (read: embarrassing/hilarious) photos of me looking very near death.

Goal 7:
Cross a few more things off of my 101 in 1001 goals list. I've crossed a few things off, and I need to update it, but this month I hope to cross a good few more things off... maybe five. But then again, that may be a little too ambitious.

Goal 8:
Start weightlifting again. With all the running, biking, and swimming I have done over the past several months, weightlifting has kind of taken a back seat. I started back this week, and let me tell you, I can feel it! I still want to incorporate more running and swimming into my regular workout routine (and biking when I can) because I plan on doing another tri in September, and this time Derek will be joining me.

Whew, now I'm tired just after typing that all out!

Do you have any goals for the month of June?

Great goals! I'm definitely with you on the weightlifting. I've noticed a difference now that I haven't done it in a few weeks (thanks to 21 Day Fix).

Great goals! Getting back to blogging is one of my June goals too. I had to put it on the back burner for about a month, and it's time I got back into my groove! Best of luck with each of these goals!

Such great goals! I love setting up in depth goals for each month, I feel they are easier to tackle.

It looks like June is going to be a big month for you! Good luck on the job search... I wish jobs would just come to me instead of me actually have to find them. And write resumes. And cover letters. Bleh.
